Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Civil society organizations (CSOs) play a critical role in shaping democratic processes, advocating for human rights, and fostering socio-political change. In Nigeria, CSOs have been instrumental in mobilizing citizens, facilitating dialogue between the government and the populace, and sustaining movements for reform.
